Happy 1st Birthday Jaded Blossom Guest Designer

 

 

Hey everyone!  Welcome to my Christmas Eve Jaded Blossom Stamps Happy Birthday Guest Designer day.  I want to wish Jaded Blossom a very Happy 1st Birthday! I'm sure you all have been loving the December Guest Designers projects.  I chose to make some ornaments with my Jaded Blossom Santa Mail Stamps!  I just love this set.  I have used it for so many things it also works great for Elf on a Shelf notes :)

 

I used this ornament recipe but I stamped it with StazOn ink and painted the top with stickles before I baked it.  When it was done cooling I colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Markers & Spectrum Noir Markers.

I plan on leaving this ornament for my boys on the chimney as a gift from Santa!  I hope y'all enjoyed my project!

Shrinky Dink Ornaments

Today I had an "AHA" moment when I opened my happy mail from Jaded Blossom !
Since I've been making lots of different ornaments I thought how about one from shrinky dinks?? It worked perfectly! The only problem I had was I accidentally bought the kind that are shiny on bog sides so I couldn't just use anything to color them. I had to use sharpie markers! Tomorrow I plan on buying the other kind so they will be easier to color. Also make sure you use the Stazon ink or the stamp will smudge!

A special treat from Santa! Tutorial

Recipe:

-4x4 5/8 piece of patterned card stock (I used echo park)

-1 1/8 x 4 5/8 solid contrasting color of card stock

-sentiment

-small box of milk duds

-stamps (I used Jaded Blossom "Santa mail" set)

-glue runner

- paper crimper

Run tape twice around all four sides of the patterned paper

Put the milk dud box in the center of the short end & wrap down

Pinch sides & crimp w- crimper

wrap solid paper around & pop dot sentiment in center!

I plan on putting this with the kids elf on a shelf I'm getting them :). Did I mention I love Jaded Blossom Stamps & dies?
